I suppose it was inevitable that I would succumb. I've had my blog over at blogger for a while (McKenzie's Manual of Anthropomorphic Configurations) but all my online friends seem to be using Livejournal and I felt a bit left out.

I've decided to keep McKenzie's Manual for what it was originally intended - a journal of my writing and reading. I'll still be updating it, and I'll try and keep the post interesting, so please check it out every now and then.

My livejournal, The House of the Golden Beetle (the originator of the very photons that, at this moment, sear through your retinas, into your brain, forming new - and maybe unwelcome - viral memes in your mind) is probably going to be a very different beasty.

Here I'll just post about me. About my family and what's going on our lives. About my friends and what they're getting up to. Hopefully I can keep it interesting, and maybe even amusing every now and then, so that you might want to come back every once in a while.

Anyway, I'm off to continue reading Bret Easton Ellis' new book Lunar Park.... oh and probably play with Cobweb for a while. She's so cute, I think I'm in love :)

hah, you know Granny will turn up and comment, cos that's what Granny does *g* and I have to agree, cobweb is absolutely gorgeous. Reminds me of the cat that remains with my ex, Aztec (so named for the oh so snooty yet savage look on his face, and named by my daughters. I'm scared. Reading it like that, I'm very scared! What kind of girls have I released onto the world? Will the world ever be ready?)
