Bored, bored, bored
Where is everyone today!? Is nobody interested in buying a book?
I've been sitting in this shop for 3 1/2 hours now and had a grand total of 4 customers! My first customer didn't even walk in the door until 10.30 am.
Are people finally feeling the interest rise pinch? Are credit card bills all due this week and there is no money for books? Or is the day outside just too nice that everyone is out enjoying themselves in the sun?
I'm not sure, but whatever the reason, it is damn boring sitting here twiddling my thumbs.

There are analogues here with religion though. Not only is it sacreligious, but the feelings of guilt and self-loathing are enormous!
"How could I be bored in a bookshop? Why can't I find a book here that I want to read? Is it the books? Or is it me? It must be me! It couldn't be the almightly books! There must be something wrong with me!"
