Bored, bored, bored

Where is everyone today!? Is nobody interested in buying a book?

I've been sitting in this shop for 3 1/2 hours now and had a grand total of 4 customers! My first customer didn't even walk in the door until 10.30 am.

Are people finally feeling the interest rise pinch? Are credit card bills all due this week and there is no money for books? Or is the day outside just too nice that everyone is out enjoying themselves in the sun?

I'm not sure, but whatever the reason, it is damn boring sitting here twiddling my thumbs.

Bored in a bookshop? Isn't that some kind of sacreligiousness? Bookwise, not godlywise.

It's the whole No Music thing. Only shop I ever worked in where I wasn't bored, even if I was busy, was a music store. Get music, and you wont be bored. Tell your boss.

Hmmm hello
This is a late comment, but hmm....

If you don't live *that* far from me... what suburb is this bookshop in.
Not that I can visit on normal hours... but the husband needs more scifi books... so maybe I should send him your way
